yehp, I'm an organization freak especially when it comes to things I use everyday. For practicality I like having things in a certain place so when I need it my brain just goes on auto-drive and reaches for it. since I've begun craft hoarding for my new hobby, especially the nibs, it's been harder and harder to keep things organized. luckily one of the business establishments near my office sells cheap-o organizers and I got the smallest one for only Php50!! a few snips from my wash container, and I was able to create a new "home" for my nibs. doesn't it look pretty? everything in its place. this case is for all my reserve nibs. Yes there's a lot of them, but i found out with daily practice I run though them very easily. the speedball chiseled nibs are those that came with the kit, and i don't think I'll use anytime soon though. Also, 2 more nibs are on their way, my hero 40 & 41 replacements.
with this "baby" kit ready I know have a family: a momma kit that has all my pen-holders and present nibs. here they are: My Facebook feed has been going crazy with storm warnings of Supertyphoon Ruby entering the Philippines and is expected to make landfall this weekend. For a country hit last year by one of the biggest storms the world has felt in recent history, Typhoon Haiyan, having another one come so soon and hitting the same area is causing many to prepare heavily for its harsh effects. Many websites have forecasted varying paths for the storm, but one thing is for certain is that it will be arriving soon. So this is a warning for everybody, especially those living in the Eastern Coast, to begin preparations and make smart choices -- such as evacuating. I have taken the liberty of posting slides from the Department of Science & Technology updates regarding the storm. (Source: Gov. Joey Salceda's FB wall). Pls note in particular the slides that detail the most heavily affected areas such as Albay, Samar and Leyte. Wind strength is predicted to reach 315km/hr!
I've been thinking for a while now to chop of my mane. Ever since the hair fiasco last May, I've just been tolerating my hair. Most of the time I'd keep it in a ponytail because "out of sight is out of mind".
So when I noticed that the length was reaching the bra line -- that is to say where my bra lock at the back usually is -- It was time to make the cut. At the same time Mart has been bugging me to chop my hair to an almost pixie do. Although I couldn't bring myself to do it, because I felt that a pixie was just too much risk, I compromised with a shoulder length "lob" -- LONG BOB. These were my hair-spirations:
So to keep the mood up, the recurring theme of this morning's hand practice (aka calligraphy doodle) is just really spreading positive vibes all over!! Below is a slideshow of what i've been able to do. |
